Year after year, several wildfires raged through California burning everything in their paths: houses, cars, farm equipment, even telephone poles.

“Today, I stood in awe of the strength and resilience of the people of Paradise, CA. Folks who lost everything, bending down on a knee to help another up,” said the California Governor-elect, Gavin Newsom on Saturday.

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar on Wednesday declared a public health emergency in California, where at least 50 people have died from multiple wildfires ravaging the state.
