Job Description
This bay area-based Fintech company organizes the Internet’s commercial activity into a data model and provides real-time granular data. The company is profitable, growing quickly and has hundreds of institutional clients across major corporations.
We are looking for a backend engineer that can streamline our data collection process. As our Engineer, you will design and implement systems that collect data from websites and make it available to our customers on our innovative modeling platform. In this role, you will need experience in Python and Javascript and to be familiar with the DOM and tools for parsing the DOM like Selenium and BeautifulSoup.
This role is ideally suited for a creative, highly motivated and career-driven engineer who is excited about the opportunity to join work in a fast-paced environment and solve difficult problems. Our team works hard – engineers work at least 40 hours per week.
Requirements:
- 5 years minimum experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or engineering
- 3 years of experience with Python
- 3 years of experience with Javascript
- Familiar with DOM and tools to parse DOM (Selenium and/or BeautifulSoup)
- Should be a local candidate
